Attribution

Ok, what was that. First impressions are essential, true. However are people so narrow minded so as to make a complete assessment of an individual just because they were almost late? Why is it that people act antagonistically towards another without getting to know the other person? Especially if rumours never circulate about this person, they are not even close to being in the same social circle and they are as average as average can be.
If they were not blessed with beauty, grace, supreme intelligence, optimism, what is it about them that perturbs another party? What is the reason for being so damn unpleasant? ...People..

On another note, WHAT is up with people walking with their jackets half on? I mean, either one sleeve is on, or their shoulders are exposed yet the lower half of the torso is loosely on the body (not tied around the waist). I mean, is it appealing to look so...disheveled? Youth.

The Benefits of Writing.

Ok so, I haven't written paragraphs in a timed setting for a long time. And when I say long time, I mean years. I stayed away from it like a cat avoids water. Who, by the way, if not for anxiety, are amazing swimmers. That being said, just recently, I had to partake in a timed writing task. And, let me tell you, I didn't do to bad! I think I owe it to writing on this blog. Perhaps it helps maintain a cohesion between thoughts and their expression. This attribution is not a groundbreaking revelation, however, it does propel me to continue scribing my thoughts... Regardless of the presence of an (albeit virtual) audience, or not. =p
However, I still do wonder about the long term effects that blogs have had on the modern generation. I mean, before, only esteemed people with a strong grasp of their language published opinion papers and such. And most people write their thoughts in a diary. Private. An outlet of emotions instead of repression. However this new privilege to express one's thoughts to the world, and maintain a certain level of anonymity, what effect does it have on the populace? Is it partially responsible for the lack of restrain, dignity, and privacy that so many lack today?

Anyway, I'm beat. So I'll regretfully sign off with a new found appreciation for blogs. As well as something to think about... Haha

Sincerity

There are people that feel entitled to certain...unearned priviledges. In a way, ignorance turns out to be a silver lining for those who must endure their in sufferable company. I guess for them to maintain the self preserving belief that they are good, they screen themselves from the truth. Don't expected to be treated a certain way if you don't mentally belief in the attitude you pretend to exude. It's as simple as that. One last note, the truth might hurt for a while, but lying to yourself will cripple you for life.

Communication

T: I don't feel like i've explained myself clearly. You seemed to have painted a picture that looks like me...but...the colours are off. The expression is one that I won't make unless I was pushed to do so.
It makes sense since we haven't known each other that long. I wanted to correct you...but I feel like you could benefit from the painting.
Is it alright? Inspiring you with a lie? If miscommunication had a silver lining, I hope this is it.

Random stranger: I'm on the bus... I see it. What are you looking at, Creep? Don't think you're subtle. You're not. Oh, you're "yawning" now? That just really deplorable. How could you think that you're not coming across as a creep? You're as obvious as could be. Like a mule trying to pass off as an ass. Oh, I'm sorry, is that too vulgar for you? Yes, stop staring, that's right appearances can decieve. That's what you get for trying to judge a book by its cover.

You revisited

Our chance meetings are just that. Nothing more. I hope either party does not see it with anymore depth. I don't know why I'm writing to you again... Is it because of what you represent? Probably. This garbled mess I'm typing... Don't see it as an indication of anything else but frustration. In the end, I hope you remain forever ignorant...

Insincere.

There are people who only talk to you not for you. They talk to you because you serve a specific function for them. They pretend to like you for who you are. Don't let their façades fool you. Wake up. They only talk to you because its convenient for them! If you realize people are using you, end the toxic relationship. It will only hurt you in the end. And if they try to make amends, don't let them. Because the only reason why they don't want to talk to you is because they want to be liked. And in turn, they'll shine your shoes and kiss you tush. But to be perfectly honest, when they have gained your favour, they return to treating you rudely. Trust me. Most people are like that. There are people who would like to believe that the world is wonderful where the people are born good. Truth be told, it isn't always true.

On a side note, just a word of advice: There are some people who are good. BUT if your personalities don't match, friendship isn't possible. In these situations just being around each other can bring out the worst in both people! It might sound odd but it can happen. They seem like jerks but its just a clash of personalities. That is what a social interaction is. Even if 2 good people meet, it doesn't ensure a bond. There are just too many social variables. So the other party might appear as insincere, aloof or whichever negative personality trait, but in fact, they aren't. They are good people, they just don't fit our own personal definition of "good". And then because of a silly impression, the truth is shrouded in a cloud of opinion and perception. Sad, isn't it?

Water on the subway

While on the subway, the person sitting across from me left their water bottle upside down in the side pocket. Slowly, it dripped. Each drop building up a little puddle, darkening the red seat. People looked, and turned their head. Not one person stopped to let them know. Watching the monotonous drips, I lost something.
Perhaps it is hidden, broken, perhaps.
Either way I no longer see it. Or seek it.

Ippen shinde meiru?

Lately, I started watching Jigoku Shoujo. It's actually not bad. If you can forego the morality issues and the plot holes, the show becomes very interesting with compelling statements and beautiful execution.
One criticism that I often hear is that every episode is almost the same, to which I can see why that is said. However, I find that the implications and moral questions brought to each episode is different in their own right. Plus, each episode, we witness slight changes in the main character. All these subtle differences make each episode quite compelling. Especially if we can find it in ourselves to be submerged into the story, we can sometimes empathize with the "bad guys" of each episode.
The production team were very effective in creating a balanced (maybe slightly morbid) and realistic (character-wise) portrait about human nature. And I guess this is what I love about it so much. I wouldn't go so far as calling it deep but it is getting there. I hope the next 2 seasons are just as good! (Need to watch them still =] )

I would give this a STRONG 4.8/5 (Its only slightly shy of a 5/5 because of the terrible immoral implications that encourages and the plot holes >< )

Speaking of anime...WHY, oh why, is the second season of Skip Beat! not out yet!! D=

Cheers,

You

Hey everyone,

I just want to rant to a certain someone:

Ever feel like repressing emotions? I'm going through that at the moment. It's all because of you. You're so annoying. You know, I didn't even feel this way out of my volition. I didn't formulate my opinion until a friend (of whom's opinion) is dear to me felt positive affect towards you. To belong, I agreed and because I didn't want to lie to this person, I opened my eyes to your positive characteristics. And the most irritating part is that you don't even know that you are causing it.
You're not. Not at all.

You suck.

Hiya

Ok, so I rarely post in my blog, but I have a reasonable explanation. I DO feel rather strange writing my emotions onto a space where virtually anyone can read it.

Which makes me quite curious... why do people blog? Do they feel a sense of anonymity writing onto a website where their face is not displayed? They do realize that there are ways to be tracked down...

Which explains why I did not want a blog. Who knows, maybe I'll change my mind :)
